Join the Club

Attention MUWPC Members!
Melbourne University Sport will deny access to anyone with an expired membership, even if their renewal is being processed. Those who let their membership lapse and still wish to train will have to pay casual rates ($18 PER VISIT!) until their membership renewal shows up on the system. So EVERYONE, please check at reception when your membership expires and make sure the club receives your payment and form 2 WEEKS prior to the expiry date!!!

There are many benefits of being an MUWPC member.

Eligibility

Melbourne University Students or those in any of the categories outlined in the Eligible Non-Student (ENS) membership form (See below) are automatically eligible to join. However, those who do not fit into these categories may also join, subject to the discretion of the University. Please contact Robert Wilks for more information, rwilks@powerlifting.net.au.

As our training facility (the HWR) is located inside the Beaurepaire Centre, joining the club requires a MUS Fitness Membership (see benefits above). This can be purchased or renewed through the club at a significantly discounted rate (please see the Clubfit form for details).

Joining Us

To join up or just check it out, please come along to a training session on any Monday or Thursday (except public holidays). Training officially starts at 5pm, but to ensure the main coaches and club officials are around, the best time to turn up is around 6:30pm.

If you have any questions regarding club membership or just to let us know that you’re coming along, please feel free to contact us, at info@powerlifting.net.au.

Membership Joining/Renewal proceedure: Print and fill out the appropriate Student or ENS club membership form and a Clubfit form (if required). Payment can be made in the form of cash, cheque/money order (made out to: Melbourne University Weightlifting & Powerlifting Club Inc. or MUWPC Inc.) or via net bank upon individual request. Hand the forms and payment in at training to either the Membership Officers – Michael Censori and Andrew Clark, or the Treasurer – Chris Schaerf. Please allow one week for MUS membership processing and then see the reception staff who will provide you with a MUS photo id access card.
